It was a challenge for my leveling skills but after smooshing out the excess on the higher level of the floor - it came out just right.

If you are planning a renovation like this - definitely ask a professional for their expert opinion.

Hope the helps!

XO - KatieKatiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14283162080208362922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7888653511412884793.post-83102449659635495972009-05-24T10:31:10.425-04:002009-05-24T10:31:10.425-04:00We're planning to rip up our linoleum in our new h...We're planning to rip up our linoleum in our new house soon to replace it with tile. One question--how did the use of thinset correct the unevenness of your floor? Wouldn't you need to use leveling compound instead?

Love the new bathroom by the way (especially the diagonal pattern)!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05782358705048476619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7888653511412884793.post-77889781665307888732009-05-19T15:57:00.000-04:002009-05-19T15:57:00.000-04:00Well there you have it folks - news from a pro - a...Well there you have it folks - news from a pro - always thinset between your backerboard and the subfloor.

Thanks Tammy!

XO - KatieKatiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14283162080208362922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7888653511412884793.post-89199707453636515112009-05-19T15:00:00.000-04:002009-05-19T15:00:00.000-04:00FYI - backerboard should always, always, always, a...FYI - backerboard should always, always, always, always, i repeat always be thinsetted to the subfloor. then screwed or nailed to the subfloor! whether your floor is level or not. my husband has been a professional tile installer for twenty plus years :)Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06872230421162773451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7888653511412884793.post-83882586286895510132009-04-30T15:49:00.000-04:002009-04-30T15:49:00.000-04:00You are my hero!
