Credit Card Points

So I almost forgot to tell you.

I earn points for each dollar I spend on my credit card. So I finally redeemed the points for actual money...well, almost. I actually got a couple of these:

Yippee! So I had $100 to spend at my favorite french store - Tar-ghey.

Two weeks ago I ordered this. When it came in - Jeremy and I whipped it together (no tools necessary - double Yippees!)

And we put it in our master bedroom.

Right now, it definitely looks a little cramped. But that is because of the chest to the left of the chair. This room is currently a hodge-podge of random stuff. We don't have our real furniture in yet. We are saving up for the Canopy bedroom furniture at Walmart. When we finally order it I think this chair will look totally phat next to the dark brown sidetable.

Maybe you can see it here - it really needs a dark element to separate it from the bed linens...otherwise it looks all too beige. And the side table lamps need to be really beefy. Like Chris Farley lamps. I didn't say beefcake - I said beefy :) So that means I need to scratch the wish list lamps and be on the prowl for some bovine-sized lighting. Ya'll have any suggestions?

Best part about this purchase was definitely the cost - only $26 including shipping and handling!

Thank you Chase credit card company. I know you are taking advantage of the economic crisis by spontaneously increasing many people's interest rates and forcing their bank accounts and credit scores to plummet, but I still love you.

Wanna see more dolce chair in action? Check it out here and here and here! Apparently all the cool kids are doing it...err...buying it. And you know me and peer pressure...gotta ride in the back of the bus...gotta tightroll my jeans...gotta wear my teenage mutant ninja turtle shirt on Wednesdays...at least till next week...things might change...and Bower Power tries to stay ahead of the curve :)

I love my Dolce chair! And I've considered ordering another one for our master bedroom. Which has Canopy furniture (with the exception of the bed). Pretty soon we're not going to be able to distinguish your bedroom from mine.

PS - we LOVE the canopy furniture. It's great quality, looks expensive and is totally "Swoonworthy".

You may never value my opinion again, but I actually don't think that space looks cramped!

love the chair! we had our eyes on a different but similar target chair. question is...are they comfortable? that's my only hesitation.

Mrs. Rauth - As far as new chairs (with no arms) go, I would say this neutral baby is about a 7 on a scale of 1-10 of comfiness. However, I heard via TYH that Sherry has her chairs broken in and they are definitely more plush now than when new. You might wanna check with her directly though to get it from the horse's...err...supermodel's mouth :)

Great job on snagging a chair for "free". I wish our Walmart carried Canopy stuff... we get less attractive stuff in Canada :( How nice to see pics of your bedroom, despite it being filled with "unreal" ;) furniture!

Wow that chair looks really comfortable. I might have to check that out at a local Target.

Oh hell, this chair has been appearing in my dreams! After seeing it in my favorite bloggers' homes, I'm trying to convince Mr FC that it NEEDS us.

Niiiice, Katie, very niiiice!

Love love LOVE the room. I am still trying to convince my husband these colors are the way to go for our bedroom. I don't think the space is cramped at all and props for working the chair in for free. I love that word..free.
